About Strong Against Cancer

What if we could cure pediatric cancer in our lifetime? What if we could remove the obstacles to that cure today?

Welcome to Strong Against Cancer, a team effort that includes leading experts and people like you who will make cancer immunotherapy treatment a reality. Seattle Children’s doesn’t just have a vision to cure pediatric cancer—they have a plan. Researchers have started clinical trials exploring a potential cure. The plan? Reprogram a child’s own immune cells to find and destroy cancerous cells—without the often harmful side effects of chemotherapy or radiation.

20141023_161-sch.jpgAt Seattle Children’s, clinical trials to treat patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia have already shown success and propelled clinical trials for other types of cancer. Dr. Julie Park, an oncologist at Seattle Children’s and investigator in Seattle Children’s Research Institute’s Center for Clinical and Translational Research, is now leading a clinical trial testing T-cell therapy in children and teens with neuroblastoma, one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer.

Your support accelerates clinical trials and your donation will help cure cancer for children all over the world.
