Join us for Friday Night at the ER, an engaging, hands-on simulation that invites participants to think beyond their individual role and see how decisions ripple across an entire organization. Working in teams of four, you'll navigate realistic challenges, strategize how to use resources, respond to unexpected disruptions, and experience firsthand how communication, collaboration, and decision-making impact overall performance.
This isn't a lecture. It's an interactive experience that reveals how small changes can lead to significantly better outcomes.

Workshop Description
Ready to make Excel feel a little less mysterious and a lot more magical? In this hands-on three-hour workshop, participants will build practical Excel skills and discover how Microsoft 365 Copilot can help take those skills even further.
We’ll start with the essentials, including spreadsheet organization, tables, formulas, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, and data visualization, then move into more powerful tools such as PivotTables and AI-assisted analysis. Along the way, participants will learn how to use natural-language prompts with Copilot to create and explain formulas, explore data, uncover trends, and turn raw information into useful insights.
Designed for education professionals who work with data but don't necessarily consider themselves Excel experts, this workshop emphasizes learning by doing. Bring your laptop and your curiosity. No wizarding experience required.
*While encouraged a paid Copilot license isn’t required.
Workshop Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Build and organize effective spreadsheets using Excel fundamentals such as tables, formulas, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, and data organization practices that make information easier to manage and analyze.
- Transform data into meaningful insights using formulas, charts, and PivotTables to identify patterns, summarize information, troubleshoot common spreadsheet challenges, and communicate findings clearly.
- Use Microsoft 365 Copilot as an Excel learning and analysis partner by writing natural-language prompts to create and explain formulas, explore data, generate visualizations, and determine when AI can enhance rather than replace their own Excel skills.
